For Christmas I asked my little sister for an octopus. I don’t know why…but I really did want an octopus, is that so wrong?

Anyhow, this is what she got me:

A bag full of gummy octopus! They were tasty. And underneath you can see that I am doing well in college…

Apparently, she had to hunt them down. Now I call that love. She also got me a daisy, but it doesn’t dance, so that was a bit disappointing, but overall, I was happy.

What to look forward to:

Currently working on a rant-style post — I suppose would be the best classification for it — about talent versus hard work.  Should be up some time this weekend.

I also have an essay post about writing constructive criticism (ah…that rare and elusive feedback writers crave) that should be up the first week of February sometime.

And a short story entitled “Junk Drawer Juju”, to be posted…February 14th sounds befitting.

Now I’m off to see the sandman about a dream.

  1. Creative wish and gift. Not something you normally come across on Santa’s list.

    • Thank you for saying so! Yeah, my sisters and I can be a strange bunch, I suppose.

Personally, I think we’re perfectly normal…other people are just really weird, but perception does not reality make…
